4 New Year’s Resolutions We Are Aiming For in 2023

Resolutions can feel like a big commitment. But positive changes are good and we are looking forward to making some new, positive strives in 2023. While resolutions usually revolve around things like losing weight or ditching unhealthy habits, this year we’d like to suggest some resolutions that are a bit more sustainable. If you’re looking for a resolution that will stick this year, check out these 4 New Year’s resolutions we’re aiming for in 2023.

Turn Your Phone Off For a Few Hours Each Week

We know, it’s not easy. Your phone has your music, wallet, work, friends and family all in one convenient place. And, if an emergency were to occur, how would you call for help? There’s a million and one reasons to never turn off your phone. Which is why we’re asking you to consider the idea for just a few hours a week. These don’t have to be consecutive hours but could be spread out over the course of the week. Or take Sundays as your day to ditch the phone and join the real world.

De-Clutter

Clutter is not only an eye sore but scientists have discovered that it’s a health issue as well. Clutter causes our cortisol levels to rise which can increase our stress levels and dampen our mood. Don’t let your possessions possess you in 2023! Take a serious look at what you’re holding on to and ask yourself, do you really need all of that stuff? Probably not. Donate or sell items you’re no longer loving or using and let them have a second chance at life with someone else.

Drink More Water

Did you know most of us are just perpetually and chronically dehydrated? Unfortunately, drinking more water isn’t enough to keep you hydrated. Ensuring that your water is filled with minerals like sodium, magnesium, and other important minerals will fulfill your body’s hydration requirements. Lack of minerals in your water is the reason why many people think drinking more water equates to more frequent urination. Without the proper minerals, your body will flush the water out without properly hydrating you.

Call Your Friends and Family Once a Month

Texting is a great way to stay in touch throughout the week or during those really busy time periods in our lives. But it’s just not the same as a phone call. Commit to calling your friends and family at least once a month in 2023. It doesn’t have to be a long phone call every time but a quick 15-20 minute catch-up can help you strengthen your connection.
